FIELD: ultra high frequency radio engineering, possible use in radio-technical systems, for example, radiolocation stations.
SUBSTANCE: wave duct switch consists of a section of rectangular wave duct, commutated element and driving mechanism. Commutated element is made in form of metallic plate, covering cross-section of wave duct channel, while driving mechanism is made in form of a pair of levers rigidly connected to metallic plate, which under effect of electric engine or electric magnet turn metallic plate for 90 degrees, directing plane of metallic plate either perpendicularly to longitudinal axis of rectangular wave duct, or in parallel to its wide walls. Latching of positions of metallic plate is performed by means of cylindrical springs, which, by affecting levers, press metallic plate to limiting shelves on wide or narrow wall of rectangular wave duct.
EFFECT: decreased dimensions and mass of device, decreased mode switching time, increased decoupling level, increased functioning reliability.
