FIELD: neurosurgery; traumatology.
SUBSTANCE: device is intended for stopping bleeding from transosseous blood vessels, mainly flat bones, and in particular, from scull. Device has two crossing handles. There are branches placed laterally at the ends of handles. Branches can be put apart. Internal surface of any branch is made in form of semi-tube and it has cuts. Pusher is placed between branches; pusher's rare end is held by lamellar spring. The other end of spring is fastened to handle. Handles are made spring-loaded for putting branches together. Rod with thread is made at top surface of working end of second branch. Limiter being able of moving along rod's length is placed onto rod by means of channel with thread. End of limiter protrudes anteriad of working ends of branches for 3-8 mm which results to less probable embolism closing of bleeding channels in bone.
EFFECT: higher reliability of homeostasis during operation; eliminated trauma of soft tissues and brain; reduced number of complications.
