SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the magnetic treatment of the technological liquids and may be used to reduce the corrosion on the internal surfaces of the pipelines transporting such liquids in different branches of industry. The method provides for action of the medium by the magnetic and electric fields and formation of the gradient of concentration of ions. The electrical field is induced by the magnetic field. The vector of the magnetic induction of the magnetic field is perpendicular to the vector of the medium current velocity. The induced electrical field displaces the ions- depolarizators in the direction from the surface subjected to corrosion. The technical result of the invention consists in reduction of the corrosion rate of the metal of the pipelines due to minimization of the cathode processes of the depolarization promoting corrosion of the metal.
