FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves acting on a liquid vortex flow with magnetic and electric fields and creation of an ion concentration gradient. The electric field induces the magnetic field, the magnetic induction vector of which is perpendicular to the velocity vector of the liquid stream. Concentration of hydroxonium ions and bacteria cells in the local volume of liquid are increased. The device has a cylindrical and a conical part, a tangential inlet pipe, joined to the cylindrical part, and magnets. The device has rings, fitted with gaps between them in the conical part. The magnets are attached to the rings. Magnets on neighbouring rings have different poles and create an induced magnetic field in the liquid moving in the gaps. Concentration of hydroxonium ions (low pH) and bacteria cells in the same volume (at the outer wall) increase in the device, which leads to extermination of bacteria.
EFFECT: saving on chemical reagents-bactericides, improved environmental friendliness of industrial production and hygienic conditions in everyday life.
