FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has longitudinally elongated foot keel and shank stem attached to the foot keel on its lower end directed upward from the foot keel. The lower shank stem end is spiral-shaped. The shank stem is directed upward in front of the spiral to its vertical upper end portion. Other version of the foot prosthesis has an additional connection member attached to the foot keel. Springy vertically standing shank stem having lower end, is joined with the foot keel via connection member, to form talocrural articulation, and the upper end is used to make connection to supporting structure of patient leg having amputated lower extremity. The shank stem usable with foot prosthesis has an elongated semirigid elastic member having spiral-shaped end for fastening it to foot keel to make up talocrural articulation region of the foot prosthesis. The opposite end is used for making connection to supporting structure of patient leg having amputated lower extremity. The member is curvilinearly extended with gradually growing curvature radius beginning from spiral at one end towards said opposite end.
EFFECT: improved mechanical properties, dynamic response of high and lower degree; enabled fine tuning of vertical and horizontal activity components.
