FIELD: adhesives.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glue substances based on inorganic components with water-soluble alkali metal silicates. More particularly, glue contains liquid soda glass having silica modulus 2.0-3.5, refractory clay, electrocorundum, kaolin, and water. Being fire-resistant material, glue can be used for gluing fibrous materials to bricks and metallic units, in particular when manufacturing and during long-term functioning of metal tube heat insulation as well as in metallurgical continuous heating furnaces, for joining refractory material having the same or different compositions, in particular when creating shaped monolithic structures, preferably porous and fibrous, for reinforcing ceramic materials and products therefrom operated under high-temperature (up to 1600°C) conditions and high-speed gas streams (up to 100 m/s and higher), and also in fabrication and restoration of furnace linings in various industry fields.
