FIELD: composite protective materials.
SUBSTANCE: a group of inventions is offered-composite material and three modifications of the method for its production. The composite material for protection against impact actions of the affecting elements of the cold weapon and firearm and abrasive wear has a metal matrix made with through holes forming a porous structure and filled with a glass-ceramic material of the Lithia-silicate composition, and at least one layer of glass-ceramic material of the lithia-silicate composition at a relation of the matrix thickness and layer: 1:0/001-0/5/ According to the method for production of composite material (modification 1), the metal matrix made with through holes forming a porous structure is filled with fused glass of the Lithia-silicate composition with formation of a layer of glass-ceramic material on one or both sides of the matrix, then annealing, crystallization according to a three-stage operation, after which cooling to the room temperature are performed.
EFFECT: produced a composite material (armoring-glass-ceramic composition) with a high resistance to impact loads and abrasive wear at a low density (up to 2.0 g/cu.cm).
