FIELD: technology for remote detection of objects and measuring characteristics thereof in real time mode, and, in particular, may be used for detecting explosives, concealed on the body of individual or in passenger baggage.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to invention, in the method for remote inspection of target in controlled area of space, including irradiation of aforementioned area with UHF radiation by means of two or more elementary emitters, registration of signal reflected from controlled area by means of one or more parallel registration channels, coherent processing of registered signal and display of information received as a result of processing, irradiation of controlled area and registration of signal reflected from it are performed in band of frequencies, width of which is determined from appropriate condition.

EFFECT: possible efficient concealed remote inspection of moving target, also receipt of numeric information about dielectric penetrability and equivalent mass of components of target and their classification by conductor-dielectric sign.
