FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sets for arc welding and thermal treatment of articles made of oxidizable metals in shielding gas. Proposed set has welding chamber, welding burner and thermal treatment device. Thermal treatment device is made in form of oven or heat-insulated envelope whose working volume is volume of welding chamber. Heat insulated envelope is made in form of double-walled chamber, walls being separated by vacuum space. Thanks to it operating capabilities of set are enlarged, its capacity is increased and quality of welds if raised owing to welding and thermal treatment, including preliminary treatment, in common shielding gas preventing transfer of easily oxidizable articles from one operation to the other.
EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities of set.
