FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorohexafluorobuatne. Method involves mixing 1-iodo-1,2-dichlorotrifluoroethane with methylene chloride and zinc powder in polar organic solvent medium that is added continuously at temperature 0-30°C. The process is carried out with simultaneous dosing polar organic solvent with zinc powder to mixture of 1-iodo-1,2-dichlorotrifluoroethane and methylene chloride. Invention provides increasing yield of the end substance to 94%.
EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
