FIELD: chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of hexafluorobut-1,3-diene. Process is carried out by the dehalogenation reaction of 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorohexafluorobutane with zinc in medium of high-boiling organic solvents chosen from the following order: diethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, dimethyl ether, tetraethylene glycol, adipodinitrile, hexamethylphosphatriamide. Method provides simplifying process and absence of organic solvent and water in the final reaction product.
EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
