FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method of control of characteristics of fuel injection into combustion chamber of internal combustion engine, injection of fuel is stopped by opening shutoff. To renew injection, shutoff is closed by supplying corresponding electric signal to its electric drive generated by pulse generator basing on result on checking of engine parameters. Preset injection pressure in time is controlled additionally. Control is carried out by changing size of effective section of slot of bypass valve basing on value of residual clearance between shut off and shutoff seat provided by differential characteristic of control electric signal supplied to shutoff electric drive. System to control characteristic of fuel injection into combustion chamber of internal combustion engine contains high-pressure fuel pump and nozzle with bypass valve installed in between, being provided with electric control of shutoff. Injection of fuel is stopped by opening the shutoff and renewed by closing the shutoff. Injection characteristic control system contains also valve automatic control system electrically connected with control pulse generator and furnished with engine parameters feedback controlled by pickup unit. Piezoelectric drive is used as drive by bypass valve shutoff, and automatic control system is furnished additionally with bypass valve shutoff displacement pickup and fuel pressure pickup before nozzle.

EFFECT: improved quality of fuel mixing in combustion chamber within wide ranged of operating conditions of engine.
