FIELD: haberdashery and leather goods, shoe industry, finishing of outer cloths, manufacture of furniture covered with leather, and finishing of car interior.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying melted thermal glue onto inner side of leather part; pressing press die into leather part by lowering press die onto leather part surface positioned above inner side of part. Application of melted glue onto inner side of leather part results in formation on part inner side of additional layer which strengthens the latter and protects it from hazardous effects. Increase in part thickness allows volume of applied ornamental pattern on outer side of leather part to be increased. Application of melted glue onto inner surface of leather part provides for automatic slight heating of part by heat released from thermal glue. Such method does not deteriorate strength characteristics of leather during application of pattern.
EFFECT: increased pliancy of leather during application of pattern and improved quality of ready article.
