FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly rolling round steel with use of three-high stands of large-bar and beam-rail rolling mills for finally forming shapes in finish two-high stand mounted in the same rolling line where leader pass is arranged.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of rolling piece with outlet to front side of three-high stand in leader pass arranged in upper horizon; transmitting rolled piece to back side of said stand through idle pass; after tilting rolled piece by 90° by its flat back end (relative to rolling it in leader pass) guiding said piece to entry box and finish pass arranged in the same rolling line as leader pass for finally shaping bar.

EFFECT: improved stability of rolling process, simplified adjustment, enhanced efficiency of rolling mill, improved accuracy of geometry of rolled products.
