FIELD: rail vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of rolling rails. Proposed method comprises production of intermediate rail rolls in reversing roughing stands using closed rail gages and its further rolling in continuous-reverse group of stands using two-roll gauges of auxiliary mill, as well as four- and three-shaft gauges of universal stands.

EFFECT: possibility of increasing the accuracy of the symmetrical profile of the rolled stock specified in the universal stands is provided by the fact that rolling in rough reversible cages of the duo is completed after rolling in closed split calibres, wherein symmetry with simultaneous control of height of flanges of intermediate cross-section is carried out in two-roll open caliber of intensive deformation in auxiliary mill duo of finishing continuous-reverse group of stands.
