FIELD: film used for packaging and smoking of meat products such as ham and sausages, milk products such as cheese and other food products to be packaged in film and exposed to smoking process.
SUBSTANCE: film comprises mixture of cross-linked polyvinyl pyrrolidone and polyamide resin. Polyamide resin to polyvinyl pyrrolidone ratio is preferably from 50:50 to 99:1 by weight of mixture, and more particular, from 80:20 to 99:1 by weight of mixture. Film is moderately permeable for water vapor and moderately impermeable for oxygen. Film may be treated with smoke.
EFFECT: improved quality of food products owing to retention of odor, color and taste of smoked product.
