FIELD: the invention refers to radio technique.
SUBSTANCE: it may be used in navigational, direction finding, location means for definition of location of a priori unknown radiation source. At preparatory stage the mode includes processes of definition of the number of elementary zones and the volumes of surveying and the coordinates of their centers, of calculation for central and R periphery direction finding stations with known coordinates the meanings of reference true bearings of the direction finding stations relatively to the coordinates of the location of the centers of each elementary zone or the volume of surveying. At the working stage the proposed mode includes processes of reception of the signal of the radiation source with the group out of R≥1 of interconnected periphery and central direction finding stations, of measurements of the true bearings of the direction finding stations at the outputs of antenna elements. At that the true bearings of the direction finding stations measured by periphery direction finding stations are transmitted to the central direction finding station, calculations for each elementary zone or each volume of surveying of difference between reference and measured true bearings of the direction finding stations, extraction from received sums of the minimal and the coordinates of the location of the center of the elementary zone or the volume of surveying corresponding min are taken for the coordinates of the detected radiation source, in quality of the true bearings of the direction finding stations meanings of differences of the phases of the signals of all possible pair combinations of the antenna elements in the frames of each direction finding station are used.
EFFECT: definition with high accuracy of the location of the radiation source.
