FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in navigation, direction-finding and locating means to determine the position of radio-frequency radiation sources (RFS) from a flight-elevation means (FEM), particularly an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The result is achieved owing to preliminary periodic determination of the direction of the RFS using a goniometric-ranging method to correct the flight route of the FEM, followed by use of a ranging method for high-precision determination of coordinates of the RFS using Apollonian circles. The apparatus for determining coordinates of the RFS has a two-channel phase interferometer, eight computers, three storage devices, a radio navigator, a device for angular orientation of the FEM, a pulse counter, a divider, a control unit, a threshold device, a static processing unit, six input adjustment buses, two output buses, connected to each other a certain manner.
EFFECT: shorter time spent on determining coordinates of RFS in conditions where there limitations on dimensions of the direction-finding antenna.
