FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of man-made stock, in particular to gravitational techniques-involving processing of ferruginous quartzite (nonmagnetic ferrous minerals) concentration waste. Process comprises riddling and concentration in hydrocyclones. The latter operation is accomplished, in particular, in short-conical hydrocyclone with conicity angle 120°. Hydrocyclone sand is subjected to regrinding and screening, after which it is passed to lesser-sized short-conical hydrocyclones having the same conicity angle.
EFFECT: increased process productivity and enabled production of concentrate with total iron content above 50%.
