FIELD: mineral processing.
SUBSTANCE: processing of minerals, such as weakly magnetic iron ores of various compositions. The method of enrichment of weakly magnetic iron ores includes grinding, gravitational concentration in a carrier stream, treatment with reagents. The pulp is treated with a cationic collecting agent Lilaflot at a flow rate of 80 to 320 g/t and a depressant, which is starch at a flow rate of 130 to 270 g/t, then the pulp is aerated and fed under pressure for gravitational concentration into a short-cone water cyclone, with a change from 10 to 120° taper angle, obtaining a drain, which is sent to the dump, and a rough iron concentrate, which is sent to the concentration table. The latter is performed with riffles of permanent magnets, which are made with the possibility of changing the height and with a simultaneous change in induction from 0.1 to 0.4 T. At the same time, the flow of flush water to the table is constantly regulated through a video camera, which is installed on the bracket and connected via wires to the controller and the workstation. The video camera continuously transmits information to the controller, which compares the current pulp colour value with the set one, and in case of a change, sends a signal to the pump to increase or decrease the water flow. The change in the height of riffles is carried out upon receipt of data on the size of the enriched material, from the workstation to the controller, which gives a command to increase or decrease the height of the riffles, on which a layer of highly magnetic minerals and grinding of mill balls is formed. This layer prevents the smallest magnetic particles from being washed into the tailings, resulting in an iron concentrate, which is the final product, and tailings, which are sent to the dump.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of separation of weakly magnetic iron ores.
