FIELD: mechanical engineering; application of coatings.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of application of coating of powder-like thermosetting paints and it can be used in different industries for forming metal polymeric coatings on metal or dielectric materials, such as ceramics, glass, porcelain, plastic, plaster, cement, concrete, etc. Application of powder-like material to form coating is done by delivering powder through screen onto preliminarily heated surface of article and subsequent heat treatment of article with applied powder material. Surface to treated is heated to 200°C, and article with applied powder coating is subjected to heat treatment at temperature up to 200°C with holding during two minutes. Device for application of powder-like material to surface of article has close-meshed screen made for vibration in form of truncated cone. Invention provides orientated and uniform distribution of powder material (paint) on surface of article with preset thickness of layer and of high quality coating following simple technology without use of complicated equipment, practically under home conditions at minimum expenses, advantage of proposed method is possibility of application of coating without preliminary charging of powder material particles with static charge. Moreover, use of proposed method and device makes it possible to form coatings of different tints and textures on surface of different articles.
