FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for electric arc spraying of coatings and can be used in machine building to improve ease of use when coating on hard-to-reach surfaces of articles. Application of coating is performed by means of metallization jet and polymer thermoplastic materials are injected into metallization jet. A metallization jet is created and at first a metal layer with thickness of 20–600 mcm is applied. Composite layer with thickness of 20–600 mcm is applied so that polymer thermoplastic materials are injected into metallization jet, and then metallization jet is disconnected and polymer layer with thickness of 20–600 mcm is applied without participation of metallization jet. When making layers with participation of polymer thermoplastic materials, propane or propane-butane or propane-air mixture is additionally introduced.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of technological types of equipment (combination of two process types of equipment into one), reduction of time for application of metal-polymer coating (due to exclusion of time for re-adjustment of equipment for another process of coatings application), forming metal-polymer coating in one process without re-adjustment of equipment, obtaining functional metal-polymer coating with required properties.
