FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly manufacture of wide hot rolled etched strips designed for further making of formed articles.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of rolling blanks of steel containing 0.12% of carbon or less in wide hot rolling mill at predetermined temperature of rolling process ending such as 850 - 920°C to strip with thickness 4 - 10 mm; before coiling strip at temperature 650 - 710°C realizing differentiated cooling it with water. Time interval of water supply delay onto surface of strip is normalized by means of mathematical expression depending upon carbon content in steel. Invention provides predetermined optimal microstructure of strip metal at hot rolling stage.
EFFECT: less loss of yield, improved consumers' properties of articles.
