FIELD: hot rolling of strips for further production of articles by forming process at providing similar mechanical properties in ready rolled pieces of different thickness of them.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of rolling steel micro-alloyed with carbo-nitride forming elements in continuous wide strip rolling mill with two groups of coilers to strip with thickness 2 - 5 mm; cooling rolled piece in intermediate roller table after rough group of stands at rate no more than 0.6°C/s; then rolling strip in finish group of stands at temperature of rolling process termination 845 - 880°C; further coiling strip to coil at predetermined temperature values; setting temperature-speed conditions of rolling and coiling depending upon final thickness of strip according to strength characteristics determined according to relation: ay/as < 0.85 where ay and as -limit yield and limit strength respectively, MPa. Strips with thickness less than 3 mm are coiled at temperature 600 - 630°C and strips with thickness more than 3 mm are coiled at temperature 570 - 630°C without water cooling of them in outlet roller table.
EFFECT: possibility for providing similar mechanical properties of hot rolled different-thickness products.
