FIELD: aluminum alloys for applying the coats on such parts as sliding bearings, contact rings, axle boxes, shafts and connecting rods.

SUBSTANCE: proposed aluminum alloy has aluminum matrix containing at least one soft phase and one hard phase. Element of soft phase does not coincide with that of hard phase. Soft phase and/or hard phase have finely distributed form in aluminum matrix and at least 80% (preferably 90%) of soft phase or particles of soft phase have average diameter not exceeding 3 mcm. Composite material covered with coat made from this material is also proposed. Specification describes also method for production of composite material from aluminum.

EFFECT: improved properties of aluminum from the standpoint of tribological loads.
