FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a lubricant-compatible copper alloy used for producing gear components, in particular synchronizer rings. Lubricant-compatible friction piece is made of a cooper alloy, wt%: 54–65 copper, 2.5–5.0 aluminum, 1.0–3.0 silicon, 2.0–4.0 nickel, 0.1–1.5 iron, ≤1.5 manganese, ≤1.5 tin, ≤1.5 chromium, ≤1.5 cobalt, ≤0.8 lead, remainder is zinc and unavoidable impurities, wherein the alloy has a structure, in which free silicon is present with at least 0.4 % and at most 2 % in the alloy matrix or in silicon-containing non-silicide phases, mass ratio between zinc and free silicon is from 15 to 75, β-phase is present in the alloy structure in an amount exceeding 80, and silicon-rich γ-phases are absent.
EFFECT: increased corrosion resistance of the alloy in various lubricating media in combination with good mechanical properties.
