FIELD: aeronautical engineering; onboard collision prevention systems by warning the crew on collision threat.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in preliminarily forming the data base pertaining to underlying surface relief, aeronavigation data base and aircraft flight characteristics data base. Then, boundaries of protective zones at all stages of aircraft flight are calculated. Boundaries of protective zones are corrected at aircraft maneuvering depending on magnitude of vertical velocity and change in wind velocity. Underlying surface obstacles are segregated and their elevation over boundaries of zones is determined. Information and control signals are formed for the crew at subsequent display. Order of processing and display of signals for the crew as well as additional change in protective zone boundaries at change in stages and modes of aircraft flight for taking a decision for maneuver for evasion from obstacle.
EFFECT: enhanced informative capacity of signals on collision threat; reduction of collision threat at aircraft maneuvering.
