FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves stimulating implant electrode and determining comfortable sound volume level from implanted patient response to shown stimuli. The electrodes are stimulated in groups with acoustic bandpass signals, each subsequent group partially overlapping the previous one. Sound volume level on separate electrode is determined by patient perception of signals received from this electrode in different groups.
EFFECT: high accuracy of implanted patient processor tuning, especially in the cases of children with no speech contact available.
