SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diaryl compounds with a bridge bond of the general formula (Ia) or their pharmaceutically acceptable salts: R1O2C-CRaRb-Y-Ar1-X-Ar2-Z1-Z2-Ar3 (Ia) wherein X means -S(O)m; Y means oxygen atom (O); Z1 and Z2 are chosen independently from group including O, -(CR'R'')n and -N(R''); Ar1 and Ar2 mean independently naphthyl or phenyl optionally substituted with alkyl or halogen atom; Ar3 means phenyl substituted with trifluoromethyl group; R1 means hydrogen atom; Ra and Rb mean hydrogen atom; each among R' and R'' means hydrogen atom; m means a whole number from 0 to 2; n means a whole number from 1 to 2. Compounds proposed by the present invention can be used in treatment of metabolism disorder. Also, invention describes a pharmaceutical composition and a method for enhancing the HDL cholesterol level.
