SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions comprising poly-alpha-olefin preliminary ground at low temperature and at least one practically water-insoluble and not mixing with water aliphatic alcohol with unbranched chain and acting as nonaqueous suspension reducing the hydraulic resistance to flow. Also, invention describes method for manufacturing such nonaqueous suspensions reducing hydraulic resistance to flow wherein this method involves contact of alpha-olefin monomers with catalyst in reaction mixture to form poly-alpha-olefin wherein the Ziegler-Natt catalyst, namely titanium trichloride, is used as catalyst. Co-catalyst is chosen from group consisting of alkylaluminooxanes, halogenhydrocarbons, diethylaluminum chloride and dibutylaluminum chloride. Realization of the method provides preparing ultrahigh-molecular poly-alpha-olefin showing intrinsic viscosity value at least about 10 deciliters per gram and representing amorphous substance practically no containing crystalline particles. Synthesized ultrahigh-molecular poly-alpha-olefin is ground at low temperature and combined with at least one aliphatic alcohol with unbranched chain that is practically water-insoluble and not mixing with water, and final poly-alpha-olefin reduces hydraulic resistance to flow. Also, invention describes a method for reducing hydraulic resistance to flow using the proposed nonaqueous suspension.
