FIELD: polymer production.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aiming at production of flow resistance lowering agents containing non-crystalline poly-α-olefin with especially high molecular weight. Method resides in preliminary isomerization of α-olefin monomers including at least one monomer selected from group consisting of 1-hexene, 1-octene, 1-decene, 1-dodecene, and mixtures thereof via bringing α-olefin feed into contact with isomerization Y-type zeolite catalyst system containing at least one catalyst and at least one co-catalyst followed by polymerization of isomerized α-olefin monomers mainly containing no branched ones. Resulting polymer may be used as agent enhancing flow of hydrocarbons through conducting canals.
EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of polymers.
