FIELD: testing engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises connecting the article to be tested with air space of babbler, connecting receiver with the pipe of the babbler, filling the receiver, the article, and the babbler simultaneously with gas under a given pressure, and recording the gas bubble delivering from the babbler pipe. The extent of pressure-tightness is judged by the intensity of gas bubble delivering. The receiver is connected with a flexible vessel filled with gas under a given pressure simultaneously with the receiver, article and babbler. The pressure oscillations are excited in the receiver. The oscillations cause the liquid inside the pipe of the babbler to reciprocate from the top liquid level to the bottom exit and to generate gas bubble delivering when leakage.
EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity of testing.
