FIELD: permanent magnets; structure components of electrical machine magnetic circuit.

SUBSTANCE: proposed permanent-magnet unit has polyhedral central body of magnetically soft material incorporating lateral faces and two faces functioning as bases of which one is working face. Lateral permanent magnets made of magnetically hard material abut against central body faces so that their magnetic field is directed to central body. Magnetically hard permanent magnet abuts against one of central-body bases opposing its working face and its magnetic field is faces central-body working face.

EFFECT: enhanced magnetic field strength on working face end of unit.
