FIELD: compensating gain of automatic gain controllers to regulate receive power of digitally transferred burst data in mobile communication systems.

SUBSTANCE: compensating controller receives gain of one character within time interval of AGC signal from automatic gain controller, digitizes gain of one character by given number of samples within given period, and receives compensation gain Gcomp by computing difference between digitized gain of one character within time interval and reference gain within given period, as well as by receiving AGC gain. Compensator functions to compensate for errors occurring in distorted AGC signal using for the purpose AGC compensating gain.

EFFECT: ability of maintaining constant power level measured within burst transmission period.
