FIELD: industrial-furnace process monitoring and control.

SUBSTANCE: proposed insertion video complex has video camera installed on front end of image reading sensor inserted through packing shield, connecting tube, and valve in front part of cooling tube disposed on flanged tube of furnace jacket; temperature sensor disposed on front part of video camera; control unit connected to temperature sensor and to video camera; two shielding gas blowing systems of which one is designed to feed shielding gas through valve of tube accommodating image reading sensor and further through viewing port to furnace, and second shielding gas blowing system is designed to feed shielding gas through cooling tube valve and further through annular slit disposed between blowdown ring and video camera to furnace; as well as computer that functions to process images and to qualitatively display condition of gas flow distribution and temperatures of charge surface in the form of curves and diagrams.

EFFECT: ability of furnace maintenance without interrupting its production process.
