FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves examining a patient by means of endoscope with spectral analysis device and video camera being connected to it and to computer. Intensities, reflection and fluorescence spectra taken in normal and suspicious zones are processed using personal computer. When detecting spectral differences and exceeded reflected light intensity in suspicious areas of tissue compared to normal ones to be by more than 25% higher, malignant neoplasm case conclusion is drawn. Tumor boundaries are determined visually on the computer display as a line connecting the image points characterized by brightness of normal areas changing more than by 3%.
