FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to determine the threshold of optic nerve's electric lability (EL), linear rate of circulation (LRC) in posterior short ciliary arteries (PSCA) and LRC in orbital artery (OA) to calculate the index of resistance (IR) in PSCA and in OA, moreover, it is important to calculate ophthalmo-ciliary coefficient (OCC) by the following formula: and at decreased EL being below 35 Hz and OCC being up to 0.8 and less one should predict the development of chronic optic neuropathy.
EFFECT: higher significance of prediction.
