FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied in ophthalmological examination for defining indications for selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) for patients with primary wide-angle glaucoma (PWAG). Patients with PWAG undergo standard ophthalmological examination including gonioscopy, topography, measurement of linear speed of blood flow (LSBF) in long posterior ciliary arteries (LPCA) and orbital vein (OV) by the method of ultrasonic triplex scanning. Also patency rate (C) is defined. At C is 0.14 mm3/min mmHg or over, in the presence of pigment localisation in the Schlemm's canal area and lower part of trabecula, LSBF in LPCA over 15.0 cm/s, and LSBF in OV over 9.0 cm/s the PWAG case shows indications for SLT.
EFFECT: high accuracy in defining indications for selective laser trabeculoplasty, and high hypotensive efficiency thereof.
