METHOD FOR TWO-STAGE DEVELOPMENT OF LARGE INTESTINE-LARGE INTESTINAL ANASTOMOSIS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B17/11 

FIELD: medicine, proctology.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating large intestinal disease surgically. At the first stage, serous surfaces of stomosed intestine and remained stump should be partially deserosed and cauterized with 70%-alcoholic solution. The borders of the future anastomosis should be marked with Indian ink to form the area of future anastomosis between a rectal stump and a descending colonic department "side-to-side" at applying seroserous single interrupted sutures. At the second stage from rectal side it is necessary to introduce a fibrocolonoscope for light visualization of previously-developed anastomosis area. From the side of colonic lumen through the stoma it is important to fulfill recanalization due to electrocoagulation in desired area for the length of about 0.5-1.0 cm. Into the canal developed one should introduce clamp's branches of electrosurgical device. Previously developed area should be completely squeezed longitudinally between the branches to perform additional coagulation through the whole thickness of tissues. Then one should dissect the area of coagulation by forming a large intestine-large intestinal "side-to-side" anastomosis. The innovation enables to decrease traumatism of surgical interference and increase reliability of anastomosis area.
