FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to overhead belt conveyors for carrying lump and loose loads. Proposed conveyor contains posts, endless belt closed on drums forming carrying and return runs, disk rollers with rounded off rims installed on posts for rotation of axles and supporting both runs of belt. Sides of belt are made with projections pointed outwards, carrying and return runs of belt are arranged at equal distance relative to each other. Disk rollers are installed so that projections thrust against rollers and are arranged from side of longitudinal axis of belt. Cylindrical rollers are installed between sides of carrying and return runs of belt for rotation of axles and engaging with sides of belt. Disk and cylindrical rollers are arranged on posts in one plane.

EFFECT: simplified design and reduced cost of conveyor owing to reduction of number of components and provision of catching of both runs in case of breakage of conveyor belt.
