FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed overhead belt conveyor has posts, belt endlessly closed on drums forming carrying and returns runs, disk rollers with rounded off rims installed on posts for rotation on axle and supporting the belt. Sides of belt are provided with projections pointed outwards relative to its contour. Reinforcement element is arranged inside each projection, being orientated longitudinally relative to belt. Disk rollers are arranged horizontal on carrying run, and vertically on return run to provide engagement of disk rollers with projections on carrying and return runs of belt. Cylindrical rollers are arranged between side edges of carrying and return runs of belt for engagement and rotation of axles. Said rollers are installed on conveyor posts by means of U-shaped brackets. Reinforcement elements are installed with displacement towards inner edges of projections forming minimum thickness of rubber layer between reinforcement elements and disk rollers.
EFFECT: simplified design, reduces cost of conveyor, possibility of catching torns off belt of inclined belt conveyor.
