FIELD: building and agriculture, particularly ground excavation tools and devices, namely drills adapted to make holes in ground.
SUBSTANCE: drill comprises rod with handle formed on one drill end and at least one screw with cutting edge connected to opposite rod end. The screw has at least one turn. Helical screw surface facing handle is provided with elongated extensions so that slots are created in-between. The extensions are directed from outer helical screw edge and are inclined to screw edge tangent. The extensions are made as least on part of screw turn surface. Outer helical edge of the screw is cut from opposite side thereof so that sharp wave-like edge is formed. Extensions may be bent so that curvilinear slots are created in-between.
EFFECT: increased reliability due to possibility of outer helical drill screw edge self-sharpening.
