FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed timing gear contains valve actuating lever hinge connected with rocker through axle of rotation of valve actuating lever. Rocker rotates around axle secured in cylinder block head. One end (shank) of rocker thrust from one side against expansion clearance adjusting bolt in valve drive, and at other side it engages with cup return spring secured in head of cylinder block. Cup thrust against movable stop of mechanism to adjust different angular positions of rocker. Valve is open and closed under action of cam of camshaft.
EFFECT: provision of smooth stepless change of timing phases according to lift of valves to reduce toxicity and increase fill factor over entire range of engine speeds.
