FIELD: pyrotechnics.
SUBSTANCE: pyrotechnical emergency electric current sources, whose operating principle is based on conversion of chemical energy to electric energy in a galvanic cell containing an anode, separator, electrolyte and a cathode, and the source proper is able to be in the non-activated condition for a long period of time and produce the electric energy only after activation. The starting is accelerated by the fact that a thermal shock is applied to the electrolyte material positioned in a closed chamber connected by channels to the separator of the galvanic cell from a heater, for example, of a pyrotechnical composition, as a result of which, the electrolyte material releases a liquid-vapor-gas ion-conducting substance, which under the action of the raised pressure arising in the chamber quickly fills the separator, and activates the galvanic cell.
EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions of the current source, and enhanced accuracy of its actuation.
