FIELD: armaments.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to initiators. Proposed primer cap comprises a casing representing metal closed cartridge closed, on its one side, with igniter. The other side of the said cartridge has the secondary explosive charge. Between aforesaid sides, a retarding cylindrical element is arranged provided with pyrotechnical composition stack and an initiator. At least one point-like or circular dent are arranged between the igniter and retarding element on the cartridge to form ledges in contact with the end face of the said retarding element that has a lengthwise through channel. Aforesaid retarding element can be press-fitted into the cartridge and made up of a tubular insert partially or completely press-fitted against the stop into metal cap. The said cap has an igniting orifice with diametre smaller than that of pyrotechnical composition column.
EFFECT: higher reliability of operation.
