FIELD: systems and methods for scanning, primarily, objects in binding.
SUBSTANCE: system for scanning primarily bound objects includes, interconnected by data bus: scanner, digital camera, processor, program memory block, block for memorizing given parameters of documents and external displaying device, while objective of camera is facing end side of object, program memory block contains correction means, made with possible determining of parameters and method for image correction, processor has distortion correction module, made with possible analysis of object image, received from camera, and also correction of distortions of scanned image of object close to binding by determining and processing parameters, characterizing shape of bending of object pages close to binding.
EFFECT: high speed correction of geometric distortions of object in binding area with maximal usage of standard office equipment like scanners and digital cameras.
