SUBSTANCE: method is performed by means of a mobile device component responsible for correcting distortions, that receives an image of the multi-page document captured spread, determines the position of the open spread binding line of the multi-page document, determines the first set of almost vertical or vertical straight lines lying to the left of the binding line, and the second set of almost vertical or vertical straight lines lying to the right of the binding line, wherein the almost vertical or vertical lines are lines with a deviation in a positive or negative direction at the angle of 45 degrees. The coordinates of the first quadrangle are determined on the basis of the first point of descent, the coordinates of the second quadrangle - based on the second point of descent. The corrected image of the first page is based on the first quadrangle, the corrected image of the second page is based on the second quadrangle.
EFFECT: possibility of correcting the perspective distortions of the open spread image of a multi-page document.
