FIELD: methods and apparatuses for depreciating sheet materials, namely destroying sheet materials such as banknotes.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes at least one unit for depreciating sheet material, particularly for destroying sheet material from which depreciated sheet material discharges and at least one device for monitoring sheet material discharged from depreciating unit; at least one inlet device for monitoring fed sheet material; at least one processing unit for comparing fed sheet material with discharged one. Inlet monitoring device includes at least one video unit for receiving images of fed sheet material and(or) outlet monitoring device includes second video unit for receiving images of discharged sheet material at outlet of unit for depreciating sheet material. Variants of apparatus and method are also offered in specification.
EFFECT: improved efficiency and reliability for monitoring process of depreciating sheet material.
