FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to control speed of turbine. According to proposed method, high speeds of load changes in operation of turbine are detected, then at least one valve of turbine is throttled for a short time and turbine speed is controlled relative to new working load after change of load. Device for implementing the method contains actuating unit for short time throttling of at least one valve of turbine and computer unit to control speed of rotation after change of load by means of which at least two operating signals for setting turbine valve can be formed. First operating signal serves to open turbine valve and second one, to close turbine valve.
EFFECT: improved reliability of power supply.
