FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines with a branched outlet system and containing an exhaust gas recirculation system. Method for engine consists in that in response to passage of gases removed only from first group of exhaust valves (6) of engine cylinders, first intake of vortex valves (24) connected upstream of first group of intake valves (2) is controlled in intake channel (28) upstream of intake manifold (44). Intake manifold (44) is connected to all inlet channels (20), (22) of engine cylinders through the first outlet manifold (80), which receives gases only from the first group of exhaust valves (6), and is connected to intake channel (28). Adjustment of the first group of vortex valves (24) is performed to at least partially block the intake air flow into the first group of intake valves (2). Each cylinder includes two intake valves (2) and (4), including one of the first group of intake valves (2), and two exhaust valves (6) and (8), including one of the first group of exhaust valves (6) and one of the second group of exhaust valves (8). Versions of the method for the engine and system for the engine are disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increase of swirled flow of sucked air supplied into cylinders through one group of intake valves, and in improvement of pumping of residual exhaust gases of combustion from combustion chambers, which allows to reduce emissions from engine.
